Kits for Buildings and Accessories

Some companies make Z scale buildings, vehicles, or other accessories for use on the layout.  However, many of these are European items and may not look quite right on an American-style layout. One way to get American-style items is to construct them from kits. In this section I'd like to show some pictures of the kits which I've built, and perhaps make a few comments about my experiences

One comment is this: Z scale is very small, so a good magnifier and steady hands are a big help (at least I've got a magnifier headset)!

Companies that makes a variety of Z scale kits include Micron Art,

Micro Structures, N Scale Architect and RSLaserKits. The Z scale models from N Scale Architect are their NansenStreet Models line.  The kits may be photo etched brass or steel or laser cut wood or card stock, and are available from Z Scale Monster Trains, Modelbahn Ott, and Internet Trains as well as sometimes being found on eBay or directly from the manufacturer.
